He is so right. Rush has been saying this for years. The left can't handle it either why they are so unhinged.

Little ironic that a gay dude is putting down people for taking it up the rear. I agree with him, but it's strange.

Bingo! We are used to orderly, prefabricated talking points passing for a debate.

I dare you to put this debate side by side with any non-Trump debate and tell me which you're watching after four minutes.

In the age of recited talking points and scripted questions, being able to interrupt is golden. It is real. Life doesn't wait for you to finish what you wanted to say. The interruptions are where the real debate emerges because then the candidates have to think on their feet and go off script.

The free for all parts of the debate were glorious and Trump handled them masterfully. It was obvious who knew the facts, drove the discussion, and owned the room.

Yeah that whole talking to the camera thing is cliched ‘90s politics. I don’t think it comes off as well as you think. Makes Joe seem old and out of date. And then he kept over-using it. Like I understand the worry that it is working, but it may actually be one of those things where everyone is assuming it is working on the other guy even as it isn’t working on them.

Hey no worries I love to see a different perspective. I think your point about speaking direction is very intriguing. And you're 100% right that Fox is poison of a higher order than even Drudge.

Giving credit where it's due, Biden's strength is personally connecting with voters through feigned empathy, so it makes a lot of sense for him to face the camera, ignore Trump, and perform one of his stories. Trump did a fabulous job of dislodging Biden as he tried to perform these stories, rendering them useless for campaign material.

I watched on RBS network and it was actually a bit odd to see Biden looking away from both Trump and the moderator, at a camera representing the audience.

There's obviously a subjective element to all this, but I felt Trump brought the best "fighter" version of himself tonight, and raised loads of ignored facts in the limited time he had. He can never be the cuddly, "feels" President as long as the media is hostile towards him, and it's a shame because I bet he's actually a very friendly guy.

Trump’s response to the China Virus was amazing. The complexity of that problem would have broken most people. Some of the decisions he had to make. And just the psychology of it all. People have already forgotten what March was like. They have forgotten the uncertainty, the fear, the confusion, the despair. And President Trump was like this stable rock guiding the whole world through it. The corporate media pushes this idea that he “failed”, but never have any specific complaints about what they would or could have done differently, and that’s with hindsight. At the time all their ideas were wrong, and not just wrong, but so wrong that even they themselves have been forced to admit that Trump’s moves were the correct ones. They then try to criticize him by saying that he should have done the things he did sooner. So the things they told him were wrong and fought him on at the time, they now try to attack him for not doing sooner. And this supposed “bombshell” that Trump wanted to avoid sparking off mass panic by doling out the bad news gradually, while trying to be positive, is ridiculous too. That’s EXACTLY what you want in a leader.

Biden was asleep during most of it. He kept diverting his eyes and had them half open. He looked really really bad.

I wish every "debate" we got was this "messy". Actual discussion of the issues. Candidates being able to challenge each other. Genuine fire and passion and humorous moments.

Who would want to go back to the scripted establishment bullshit? I laughed every time poor Biden tried to tell one of his scripted stories and Trump dislodged him.

It was a fantastic and dynamic back and forth, better than the WWF. Hell we even had the moderator go turncoat.
