Throughout the debate, Joe would look into the distance just above the camera and rattle off talking points with a cadence that seemed like he was reading.
At one point, he closed one eye while doing so, in an odd manner.
He also seemed to be reading while looking down the podium.
I saw this too. I didn't think he was reading though. To me it looked like he was trying to listen to his ear piece while GEOTUS was thundering. You could tell when they spoke into his hear.
You bet he was. I'm just watching the recording now, and in one part he was talking about something "19 er I mean 91" or something like that.
Well, when you're making an impromptu statement, you're not gonna mistake 19 for 91, that kind of mistake would much more likely be made when you're trying to READ the number.
