Did Trump discourage some far left supporters from voting for Biden? Maybe. Having him own positions and contrasting that with progressive policies is legit strategy. Did this perfomance convince undecideds and fence sitters to vote for Trump? No. They probably tuned out over all the theatrics and interruptions to care. The debate was basically no more productive than strangers fighting on the internet. He needs to be more composed next two times.

I think he should adjust based on how aggressive Joe and the moderator are debating him next time.

Iml trump wasn't even throwing any serious punches until Joe started calling him dumb while trying to avoid answering questions by saying it to the moderator

Biden did not do exceptionally good by any means but Trump needs to do better next time by being more refined, which I think he will be. He unintentionally is bailing Biden out by talking over his answer. Biden talked in circles all night when he got to speak. "The GND will create millions of jobs. The GND will pay for itself. No I don't support the GND." "I AM THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. No I didn't call anyone because I'm just a private citizen. What can I do?"

Just nonsense.
