Wallace was criticizing Trump's points and policies more than Biden. It was actually insane. It's not the moderators job to do what Biden should be doing - but they knew he wouldn't be able to string enough coherent attacks on Trump so Wallace had to do it for him.
Trump still handled all of it well, it was just so weird to see the moderator take sides on policies and only push one of the people on stage over those policies. Even if he did the same to Biden it wouldn't be acceptable, that's just not the job of a moderator.
The wallace choice was strategic. It accomplishes several objectives:
Makes Trump look like the underdog
Allows Trump to take control without it being handed to him
Showcases Trumps skills as a fighter
Highlights the media bias narrative
Pits Trump the populist against the elitist

Makes democrats think of wallace as their guy, so when he goes after Biden on the Green New Deal it hits harder
Wallace’s role has always been to act as the “voice of reason” on Fox in order to pull left leaning “socially liberal fiscally conservative” independents towards the right. Its all part of the plan.

Tucker should have had that spot, considering his ratings. Take bias out of the picture - any host from Donna Brazille to ANDERSON Cooper is biased and Anti-Trump. He literally has like 2 or 3 mainstream anchors on his side - Tucker (who is objective against Trump at times, but openly supports him) and Hannity. Biden/Clinton has literally everyone else.
ABC had some cuck who immediately before and after the debate preached many times about how Trump is so far behind in every way, and it'll take a miracle for him... Then after complained that Trump lost because he didn't win enough, even though Biden had a poor showing.

I started sensing what you're saying about midway through the debate. Wallace was an ass to Trump early on, but not in a way that would actually change any minds. The bully-sensitive-people will never like Trump's style, yet his base eats it up. I'm glad Trump interrupted every time Biden lied. It was glorious!
