Yeah I wish trump had been clearer with what was being talked about. I was watching with my in-laws who aren't politically aware, and I'm sure I was the only one who had ever heard of critical race theory. Trump should have said something like, "look if you're going to ask me about it, at least use clear terms. We are talking about Critical Race Theory (look it up), and it is racist, divisive, and destructive, and I won't stand for it." Trump did basically say the second part, which was good. But it's weird watching a debate and understanding the backstory while being surrounded by people who are like "jeez they're both idiots, look how they just talk over each other the whole time."
This was frustrating as hell. Trump needed to be far clearer, and instead it felt like he was talking to his base.
People just saw bickering, and instead of trying to think and research what they said, they will just wait for the MSM to tell them what to think. I heard some idiots last night talking about it, and they were so off base. I tried to explain some of their confusion, but one of the guys was open carrying a gun and I saw him do a drug deal, and once he started getting pissed at me, I decided I didnt want to get shot that night and left.
If only we could do that to the media.
