There's a new guy who works first shift at my job (I work third shift) who's about as black as coffee. Me and a work buddy I trust on my shift (we're both former military and very right leaning), were talking about the debates last night near shift change and the new guy came in while we weren't paying attention. The first thing out of his mouth this morning was "man fuck Biden. Racist ass bitch". We didn't even know he was standing there, which in retrospect was probably not smart because you never know these days. But he joined in the conversation and he's definitely voting for Trump. He fucking hates Joe Biden.
I don't know when the change occurred, maybe after Bush, but it seems like nowadays no one cares about anything negative you have to say about an opponent. The ones that hate Trump already hate him and won't change, but the fence sitters want to hear your plan of how you'll do things better, not a bash fest, so when you bash someone it comes off as you having no plan of your own. I don't think this is unique to Trump, but he's the biggest example.

My moment of backing Trump came after he said "we need to bring back jobs" and people attacked him for even suggesting politicians TRY to incentivise industy to return.
I was just DONE. A job trumps all other needs. A job fullfills. Feeds and builds. Is we cut ALL taxes jobs would flow in and tax revenue would soar because you'd still get sales, tarriff and income taxes.

I actually had been left wanting more by POTUS performance yesterday until I talked to my friend.
I thought there were times where he could go hard after Sleep Joe, but what my friend said makes sense now. POTUS is master of the stage, he can't go too hard on Joe on the first night because the audience always root for the underdog. Joe might have Wallace on his side but being the bumbling fool Joe is, POTUS is already a sharp knife 2 inches away from his neck. Any sharper, he risks becoming the bully. It's psy warfare. Joe's entire performance yesterday could very well be banking on igniting the audience's "sympathy for the elderly".
So POTUS might as well sit back a little, and let Chris and Joe bully him instead. And they sure did.

Here in Florida Biden commercials run non stop. I just mute the TV now when commercial break comes on. I especially like the one where he calls Trump Supporters white supremacist armed militia. Then they show the one picture where the Trump supporters had the truck rally in Portland, and they bear sprayed the Antifa dirtbags attacking their trucks.
