The big story being spread by the media today is President Trump’s “refusal” to condemn white supremacists and militias.

Let us make one thing perfectly clear: White supremacists are not militias. Militias are not white supremacists.

Lumping the two together in one question as Chris Wallace did is intellectually dishonest at best and suggesting the President violate the Constitution at worst.

American citizens are guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms, and the right to have militias, by the 2nd Amendment.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

This is our protection from a tyrannical government; our protection from the “ruling class” imposing their will on an unwilling people. It is the ultimate check in the checks and balances built in to our government - if the government gets too out of hand, the American people restore and rebuild it by force.

Do not lose sight of this. We are free because we choose to be, not because the government allows us to be. White supremacists should be condemned. They have been condemned. But they are NOT the same as militias.

Pledge of allegiance and a constitution test was mandatory once. Now its all anti-american minority supremacy.

I wonder who changed all that?

That particular question by Chris Wallace really stood out for me, for exactly the posted reasons. It was so hugely dishonest.
