Recents have not found any recently dropped files or new apps, and three antivirus (one oem antivirus found nothing.) Amen

Pretty sure the redirect is to harvest any cookies from currently logged sessions in order to hack or spoof activity. If you aren't logged into to Google or whatever their targets are, there's no harvest.
