Here's the dealio kiddo. If you're on unemployment, you HAVE TO look for a job. 3 apps a week in my state. I usually send out 10 to 20. Don't miss any appointments either.

And, it doesn't last more than 26 weeks. Have fun!

80 K? Piss off with that greed. You can make a living at 25K if you are by yourself. Is 40 K too low still? then make yourself worth 40K. Ah, but these people don't know how to be worth their wage.

Prostitutes are cheaper if that's where a person plans to waste money.

Yet again, lost muh job “due to covid.”

No, lost your job due to Dems shitting on your economy and not allowing your business to operate.

Until $80k wont even get you an apple

80k won't get you a house and 2 cars in SoCal. Unless you like rice beans.

We don't seem to have many openings for professional whiny little bitch, at the moment.

We are all full.

The percentage of people that really feel this way is likely the same percentage that are working to get off unemployment/welfare.

Imagine thinking welfare will net you $80,000 a year. I need to get me some of that shit!

Poor little flower.....already dropped her petals....

Guess what pedestal princess? Heaven, hell and the world move on, sweet pea. No one cares if you starve or decide to throw yourself into a flaming volcano. Either stop the whining, or whither on the vine. No one gives a shit.

Now splash some water on your face, resolve to not being a whiny little bitch, find another job and grow the fuck up.

Next patient, please!

Sure. Don't do anything, wait for the government to help you.

When I lost my job, I used my time collecting unemployment to refine a skill set that was a hobby and opened my own small business. I used it as a springboard, not a handout. Life is good.

4 months for me and already almost in the black! Wish me luck and congrats on succeeding on your own.

All the luck in the world, fren. Two quick pieces of advice.

Be careful in this early stage on what you purchase. Get the minimal amount of tools/supplies, just what you know for sure you'll use because when you have a year or so under your belt you'll know what you actually need. I made that mistake, fortunately not a hugely expensive one.

Don't get bummed out or give up if it slows down at times. It always balances out, sometimes with very long days/weeks. I always hand out three business cards to every customer and ask them to give two away if they like my work. There were some lean times for the first year or two. Now, I have more work than I can keep up with and am having to schedule customers a few weeks out at times. Word of mouth is the best advertising, do everything you can to promote it.

Proud of you, pede! Keep on entrepreneuring!

Wow, thanks for the advice. They funny thing is, I was booming out of the gate(this is easy I thought) until the PUA expired and then no one was buying anything for about a month. Then just as you stated, right back up. It already seems rather fickle, but, I'd rather be working for myself much more than for someone else. Thanks for the kind words and I wish you the best.

Sure thing. It'll level out when you build a list of satisfied customers, but it can be nerve wracking for a while. Have a great weekend, fren.

Thanks and Hooyah for the words of support. Party on, fren.

Democracy dies when the people realize they can simply vote themselves more money.

Or you could just move out of the expensive/insanely high cost of living shit-hole city you live in that requires at least 80k to barely make rent, and move out to a nice little town like I did where making anywhere around 50k a year allows you to live extremely well. My fiancee and I both made around 35k/year each for about 5 years, and we lived well. We now both make a little over 50k each, and we live great not
