I don't know about that. I saw a video clip with a close-up of that thing, and there were 2 pieces protruding, spaced about 1/3 of the way around his wrist from each other, and they both retracted at exactly the same time, with no clear cause (e.g. not gravity when he lifted his forearm to a more vertical position). It was weird, and I can't figure out how rosary beads could be made to move that way. If it was just one thing poking out, I could see how it could be part of the crucifix on a set of rosary beads, but no way that rosary beads could explain both pieces poking out.
