In New York, masks have pretty much been required from May on. Go to a grocery store, mask on. Enter any store mask on. Travel on a bus or train, mask on.
Now they claim a “spike in cases”. Honest question, If masks are so effective why is there a spike? I don’t like the mask but I wear it because you won’t get served without it. It’s a religion in NY and the tri State area. I rarely see anyone (if ever) in any store without it. Like it or not.
Don’t blame opening up in NY. Many things are still closed or operating outdoors and limited capacity.
So again if people claim they are effective why is this happening?
I keep asking that myself. If lockdowns were affective, why all the cases? If closing businesses were affective, why all the cases. If masks are affective, why the cases?
The hospitalizations went down because the most vulnerable in society have been killed off while the virus was at its peak. It also had a little help through human intervention. The virus has worked its way through much of society and has weakened to a point where now hardly anyone is even getting symptoms let alone hospitalized.
