Stop going to nyc, it’s a shithole. If you spend money there you’re only supporting this. Cut them off.

I left a day before 9/11 if you can believe that! What luck!

Holy shit - same with me! Moved out on 9/10. Hate going back because I find the lack of the Trade Center to be very eery. It was pretty nice when Giuliani was mayor but when the Puerto Rican parade got out of hand in summer of ‘01 I thought “hey, this is no place for me and my wife.”

Nope I was sick and needed to leave NYC. Also if I was in on it I would have left at least weeks before, not a day before.

I left there 15 years ago and moved to another shithole, and now i am stuck. I want those of you who live in nice small towns to never ever consider moving. Don't do what I did and get all caught up in some blue shithole. It never gets better and whatever positives you think there are -- well, they're all temporary because a shithole isn't going to become utopia. A shithole only turns into a bigger shithole.

We live in a rural area of Northern California. The area is great. But we are still living in California.

There are places in Florida that are really beautiful, really red, really white and really rich. It's what the whole country would be if we ever destroy the globohomo.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you where it is. But we're here.

Florida that are really beautiful, really white and really rich.

So key west without the red?

Very true but why do they have to come to my utopia and make it a shithole!? I thought that's why they left?!

Shithole->Gaping Shithole-

It's the only way things go.

Between covid tyrants, antifa, and BLM I have lost all interest in ever visiting a big city. Maybe in a few years that will change and I'll feel comfortable visiting the fish aquarium in Chicago again or maybe a big zoo in some other city.

Seriously tho, at this point, why would anyone visit if they didn't have to??

This goes for almost all big cities outside of Florida.

Why even bother?

You can't do anything. There are no concerts. There are no sporting events. Everything is closed. The few restaurants which still survive do so at roughly 25% capacity, or have had to turn their shitty front sidewalk into outdoor seating.

I used to be downtown all the time for work amd social stuff.

Now I get pissy when I can't get my kid an appointment at a satellite location for Children's hospital.

We have to go downtown next week for her to have a biopsy done and I'm already grumpy about it.

Agreed. I have a liberal friend who was trying to ask our group to go to NYC around New Years. Lol - no thanks - shut that shit down. At this current rate, I'll be taking a nice trip down to Florida to spend my hard earned money.
