I just can't understand why people are moving out of NYC in mass.

There’s already over a million people that have moved out.

Condos that went for 1.3 million in January are selling for 250k.

The MSM just isn’t reporting the fact that NYC is in total economic collapse at this point.

I thought it was pretty telling during the debate when Trump said he didn't know if NYC would ever recover.

I have to agree.

I think it's the same story for many big cities. What's the point?

I am going to pay thru the nose to move somewhere that's crowded, dirty, loud, and unsafe, for what, exactly??

In a post covid world, MANY white collar office jobs are going to be people remoting in from home. Why pay all that money to live close to the downtown office if you can remote in from your cozy house in a quiet neighborhood?

Companies are going to drastically downsize the size of their corporate offices. Some already have started. This will cause quiet the ripple effect.

Bottom line: get out of big cities while you still can.

It won’t; there’s nothing appealing about living in a crowded dangerous dirty shithole with bad weather when you could live in the mountains or the beach instead.

Im sitting in midtown. Can confirm. Its destroyed. Its not coming back. You can thank the democrat leadership for that. On the upside, my tidy suburban home that the edgy hipsters made fun of is now up 20 percent in value as they all try to cram in. I’ve already spotted a few of these limp wristed pussies pushing their baby carts around the neighnorhood.

People over on NYC are calling any reality post "doomers" and believe that all is FINE!

These idiots are clapping for reduced rents. Too stupid to realize that falling rent reflects falling job opportunity and increased crime.

None of them is old enough to remember NYC of teh 70s and 80s. It was a third world hellhole.

I pray that the Feds don't bail them out. They created this hellhole.

Coming to America made some good jabs on that.

Links? Got a NYC buddy who is convinced the city is doing fine, and anything otherwise is fake news or trump's fault

He probably doesn't leave his little enclave.

I wish I had a few million to buy some of those Condos and hold them until de Blasio is out of office.

It’s never going to recover there.
