My wife is pregnant and tomorrow is our first appointment after 8 weeks of pregnancy
Well turns out, because this world is the biggest bunch of pussies and making Coronavirus political, I don’t get to be part of my wife’s appointments
I am not allowed to go with her, to hear my child’s heartbeat for the first time, to see the first sonogram, to find out the gender. Nothing. I’m effectively useless till birth until then, they probably won’t even let me in the hospital for all we know
All because our fucking politicians saw an opportunity to gain power and scare people into submission and our public bought it
I am absolutely sick of this climate and about have had it
I just went through this exact thing. It is absolutely infuriating. You can go to a private clinic and get the 3D ultrasound. It's really not that expensive and it's way better than what they have at the hospital. You will be allowed to be there for the birth and everything but the whole system is built to cater to the lowest common denominator which are fatherless families unfortunately.
