The big problem is that the right, by and large, has accepted the left's assertion that they should not be condemned for things they are proud of. If a right argues with a left about Ginsberg, and then the left says that Ginsberg is admired and they're proud of her, then the right (in my experience) immediately drops the subject and sulks, rather than leveling condemnation against them. Trump's answer of not categorically condemning militia groups (a right literally guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment) is the correct answer to this question.
