The only way we beat this is to take away the stigma of the label “white supremacy.”
If we let them associate whatever with whatever, then taking away their latest toy means nothing. They'll find another.
You cannot judge people primarily by their conduct and also primarily by their race, and the good way is the former, not the latter. The repentant will find forgiveness, and the unrepentant, hell. For that, I will always hold stigma against white supremacists.
The big problem is that the right, by and large, has accepted the left's assertion that they should not be condemned for things they are proud of. If a right argues with a left about Ginsberg, and then the left says that Ginsberg is admired and they're proud of her, then the right (in my experience) immediately drops the subject and sulks, rather than leveling condemnation against them. Most christians have been fooled into thinking this non-judging behavior is actually how they should act.
However...
Racism, even ideological racism is hyped beyond sanity. Sin it may be, but great it is not. It's quite minor in the grand scheme of things.
The demand to condemn racism by the left extends beyond anti-tribalism (note: this is not the definition of bigotry. Bigotry is being strongly for or against beliefs as well as tribes. To be a non-bigot you cannot believe anything strongly. Another example of leftist corruption of our language.) to anti-pattern-recognition, which is evil.
Just be clear about this- the left does not condemn racism. The left only condemns White people doing what everyone else does- look out for people who who share their biological heritage.
There is nothing wrong with doing this. All of nature and all of biology is genes competing with other genes. If every other genetically similar group fights for themselves and one group does not, that one loses out.
