That is exactly what the chip in your toaster programmed you to think

I was wondering why my toast was coming out with Biden 2020 burn marks on it, this solves that question.

Internet of Things never appealed to me. I'm glad, too. And I'll be darned if the government forces my thermostat to 80 in the summer!

My new house has a thermostat with Wi-Fi support...Wi-Fi that will never ever connect to my network.

Why didn't I think of that? My Wink hub went to subscription, I subscribed because I haven't had time to transfer everything over to my smart things hub. Honestly, I need to think about this one, and change everything now. Setting up a closed VPN for my home automation is what makes the most sense. I could still control things from my phone, remotely, but it would have no outside internet connectivity to my house. I'm not sure if I can get my smart things app and hub to work like that, but if not, I'll find a solution that works.

"You should be afraid! I am the scourge of all small appliances and the boogeyman that keeps lesser toasters awake at night!"

At this juncture unless you are completely off the grid it's almost impossible to not be affected. They got involved in culture long ago so many aspects like music and social culture have already been messed with.

I don't watch tv (unless it's Trump) and haven't listened to new music since 1998.
