There's also a theory I heard YEARS ago, before GEOTUS was even in the picture, that America goes through a major political realignment roughly every 40 years. If we go by our current timeline of Trump coming in and changing shit from the top down (2015-202?), then the last alignment would be around Reagans time, though not how you'd think. Yes, Reagan's administration was based but that's about the time leftism started taking root in media and the school system and the "New" Democrats (1976-1995). Go 40 years before that and yes, FDR was president, but the realignment was below him, giving us Eisenhower, victory in WW2, and the boom that made us the power house we are over the next 30 years (1940-1975). Go 40 years before that, the realignment was the other direction again, Woodrow Wilson, Imperialism, Federal Reserve, Income taxes (1895-1920). 40 years before that, birth of the Republican party, Lincoln, ending slavery, etc...(1860-1880). Then go 40 years before that and you get the seeds of civil war, lame duck presidents, manifest destiny, and Monroe Doctrine(good and bad) (1820-1840). Then finally, 40 years before that, the founding of our country (1776-1791).

Every time someone says President Reagan's admin was based, I'll remind you, He had dementia thru out his presidency. Sure, easy to get along with, didn't accomplish any of his campaign promises, thinking in particular of the 300 ship navy. No, China will not attack the U.S. directly, at least not the mainland. Prolonged occupation is simply unfeasible, and would make Napoleon and Hitler's invasions of Russia look like child's play. There are more guns than people in this country, and the one thing that would unite us is a foreign aggressor.
China will take advantage of the power vacuum that comes with a divided U.S. They will use the opportunity to take Taiwan and expand throughout Asia. India and China will begin a hot war, and Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea will unite against China.
The U.S. military would also be involved, but domestic turmoil would split the ranks.

Sorry, this just isn't true. Our corrupt politicians and MSM decided to scare the dimwitted public half to death to seize power. No one reacted this way to H1N1, SARS, MRS or all the other foreign viruses that swept across our country. They gambled on an easily manipulated and over-reactive public, and they were right.
