Communist revolutionaries always seem to believe that they will be the lucky few from the original revolutionary bunch who make it through both the violent revolution required to overthrow a culture and the subsequent purge of intellectuals and revolutionaries. The ones with large amounts of material wealth are particularly delusional with regards to what they believe the commissars will think when they see their “personal property”. They expect a pat on the head but will likely get clapped in the back of the head, summarily executed by those they support.
