A retired Navy guy, good friends with my coworker, signed up his entire family to get tested at the VA. Waited in line forever, and were going to miss another appointment, so they had to leave, planning to reschedule for later.

The virus takes time to load in your system, then your system has to begin to respond to it. You wont be able to test for it immediately after exposure , most likely will take a day or two after exposure before the test will be accurate
