This stupid plan sounds exactly like something the dems would do. "Stupid Drumpf got infected because of his poor management He is finished!" is what they they think people will think.

Thing is, the majority of the population isn't as stupid as they think they are. We know the virus exists, but many people suspect that it isn't anything worth closing down the country over. Trump will easily recover, proving that this virus isn't anything dangerous and number of positive cases is a bullshit metric. People will start ignoring mask mandates and the country will be forced to open up.
