“ In early 2000, researchers discovered a small group of sex workers in Nairobi, Kenya who were estimated to have sexual contact with 60 to 70 HIV positive clients a year without signs of infection.[9] These sex workers were not found to have the delta mutation leading scientists to believe other factors could create a genetic resistance to HIV.[8] Researchers from Public Health Agency of Canada have identified 15 proteins unique to those virus-free sex workers.[10] Later, however some sex workers were discovered to have contracted the virus, leading Oxford University researcher Sarah Rowland-Jones to believe continual exposure is a requirement for maintaining immunity.[11]”
Well c diff is a bacteria. And that’s in your gut where a TON of natural flora bacteria reside already. So it’s hard for your body to clean your colon out and also we have antibitotics and stool replacement therapies to help with that.
In my original comment I said we should all have an orgy with Trump and contract it and move on lol. I would NOT have said the same about literally anything else. I ONLY said that because this virus is the worst thing at killing people I’ve ever seen. 98%+ survival rate for every single age group. It’s related to the common cold and SARS and it’s only hurting people who were halfway dead already (not unlike the flu and the common cold) so based on THAT, I say this virus is weak NOW and we should all get it and get it over with BEFORE it turns into something like AIDS or polio. The guy who thinks “the virus is getting weaker” just doesn’t make sense cause that’s never once happened ever. In fact this is more likely a “stronger” strain of the already common cold. Viruses are interesting little creatures in that they have one job and one job only, find host cell and replicate. There’s no brain or central nervous system, one virus has like a million babies and only the strong survive, not the weak (guy also mentioned natural selection which I thought was funny cause he was saying natural selection selects the weakest which is WRONG). If we literally all ate a covid popsicle right now, I’d be surprised if even an entire percentage point of the world dropped dead.
Now, your first question asking if we will build a immunity to it. From my understanding, immunities already exist, like with the AIDS people. They weren’t like born after aids and were exposed to it and became immune, they were just naturally immune cause there are 7 billion genetic version of us. No matter how deadly any disease is, some cunts will be immune to it just based on statistics. Let’s say COVID had a 95% death rate, well that’s 5% immune people. If 95% of the world dropped dead, the next generation would be covid immune. It’s really just a numbers game and that’s the game I suggest we play with covid because it’s going to run its course anyways, let’s get it over with. Most of us will get sick for a week and develop an immunity (viruses are also for life. Mono. Herpes. Aids. If you had it once. You have it forever. It’s impossible to combat something with a million babies lol your body just adapts to stay ahead of it) but if we keep trying to avoid covid, in the long run we are a) just delaying the inevitable and b) giving it longer and longer to mutate into something stronger. But if we all caught it now, our bodies would keep it under control and worst case scenario we under up with another cyclical flu and best case, it’s over.
But again, I wouldn’t say any of this for like Polio lol. That had a 90% you’re fucked rate so other methods are needed. AIDS, same thing and we are still looking at treatment options. Mono is an iffy one cause it’s a horrible 1-8 month long disease but doesn’t USUALLY kill, but most people get the Epstein Barr virus in their life at some point anyways.
Oh perfect example is chicken pox how everyone gives their kids chicken pox. That’s a virus. Doesn’t harm anyone when you’re young but can fuck you up royally as an adult. So everyone has a chicken pox orgy and everyone develops an immunity and goes on with their life’s
I’m not comparing aids to covid. Covid is a respiratory virus and aids attacks T cells. Respiratory viruses are always “weak” from the get go in that they don’t usually kill a whole lot (your flus, commons colds, SARS, MERS) and humans are very quick to adapt an immunity/resistance to them. The idea that these viruses got “weaker” so they could “multiply more” is so fucking stupid it blows my mind. It’s literally the only organism without a brain, how the fuck do you think it knows to slow down because the host is dying too fast lol Our bodies our adept at fighting respiratory viruses pretty fucking well because, well we need to breathe.
AIDS, polio, hepatitis, these all affect different organs and are much more likely to fuck you up than a respiratory virus. But not a single one of them ever got “weaker” they stay the same or mutate into something worse. Hell covid is technically the same family of virus that causes the common cold and sars. What’s the say it didn’t mutate from that? Oh wait, it did.
Edit; keep downvoting ass clowns lol I literally have a degree in this shit
Uhh the flu literally mutates stronger every year.
Meningitis will fuck your shit up
Hepatitis also entered the chat.
AIDS turned into super aids.
I mean lol literally name me one fucking virus that’s ever gotten “weaker”
From the article in my other comment to you
