I think the fact that he was able to form some coherent sentences exceeded people’s expectations.

But honestly he looked weak, and he was babysat by CW the entire time. He didn’t even attempt to defend his arguments when Trump was calling him out, only resorting to personal attacks like calling GEOTUS a clown. If he acted like that in a room full of political leaders around the world we would be in big trouble. It’s a jungle out there and if he can’t even defend himself against Trump’s questioning (and let’s face it GEOTUS was already being easy on him) there’s absolutely no way he could handle the malicious intent from both our allies and enemies in the world.
