Well it's true. I live in Europe with my American wife. I've been to the US twice and compared to many European countries the US has a huge obesity crisis. I was shocked both times I've been to the US.

In my opinion it is mostly about the fact that everything has sugar in it. Everything! From bread to peanut butter to joghurt! I like sweet things once in a while, even fudge, which can be almost 100% sugar. But I hate it when sugar is in everything! Another thing is the demonization of healthy fat. Diet food is labeled low fat, but has high amounts of sugar. I'm, currently on a high protein diet. Works great for losing weight for me.

The Left demonizes everything that is good and healthy for you and ignorant people just suck it up and repeat those lies. Remember how they demonized eggs back in th 80s? And whole milk? And demonized the New Adkins diet in 2000? Which is making a comeback as the Keto diet now? And let’s not forget the margerine vs butter wars. There is a lot of money invested in corporations tuat make carbs.
