We are a year in and have no reason to trust the tests, trust whether it spreads asymptomatically or not, trust the case numbers, the death numbers, etc., etc.
Trying to find meaning or deduce where someone got it is pointless. Yeah I do believe there are psychos willing to try to infect the President. But we have no insight into his day when the cameras are not on. Who knows what happened.
I work in a genetics research lab and regularly do qPCRs. I've always wondered how stringent these medical labs are doing the qPCRs. If they're doing thousands of covid tests a day, there's bound to be cross-contamination between samples. I've never seen any details of the qPCR protocol, including what negative/positive controls they're running and how frequently, how frequently they decontaminate their pipettes, etc. Also, if they're amplifying their cDNA library 30x, there's loads of variation that's going to get cooked into those samples.
So I'm skeptical of the medical labs being able to handle such a large volume of qPCR tests, and I'm also skeptical of their procedures. I think that poor lab technique is why there is such a high false positive rate, and contributing to why nobody trusts these tests. Granted, I haven't actively tried to find a lab protocol for the covid test, but given my experience with qPCRs and how sensitive they are, I'm willing to bet that very few labs are doing them properly. To me, it's a real shame that so much public money has been wasted on these tests and we can't even trust them.
I had what I suspected was a stomach bug or a common flu, but I got tested through my county just in case cause I often visit my elderly parents. 24 hours after getting tested my symptoms were completely gone. 5 days after testing I still had no results. I sent an email like I was told to if I didn't receive results after 5 days. They told me my test result could not be processed and I should get tested again. Keep in mind I went to a drive through center at a hospital and I was directed and watched by health officials as I stuck the swab up my nose. My suspicion is that my test was negative but they didn't want my negative test to screw up their positive test result rates, because this is how they keep everything locked down.
I'm pretty certain I know what's going on with this scam. When you go in for a test, they automatically start searching your credit card history. Then, they send out a health inspector to every place you went to and go over everything with a fine tooth comb looking for covid health violations. They do this without saying a word to you, whether you have covid or not. Many places I normally visit had this happen to them just after my covid test. It seemed like too much a coincidence to be random.
I still don't know if I had covid or not, and at this point I really don't even care.

The system sucks. Whatever I had wasn't a terrible deal. About 2 really bad days and 2 not so great ones and then back to normal. Typical stomach bug / flu scenario.
What bugs me most is that if I knew I had it I might go out and donate plasma that can be used for therapy for others.
I have a relative who works at a hospital. He said even they count positive cases even if it's the same person getting tested multiple times. So I person gets 2 tests in the course of a week and it comes up positive that counts as 2 cases as if it's two different people. That combined with people who are dying of car accidents and drug overdoses being counted as covid deaths bc they test positive for antibodies only and it equals grossly overstated numbers and a complete lie being perpetrated on the American people.
Yeah I could easily see a large percentage of "asymptomatic" people actually being simply not infected.

I find this interesting. Work in a hospital but I’m not Savvy on the PCR process. I don’t work in the lab but I’ve wondered about the false positives. Although when I asked once, a coworker snapped back that there were way more false negatives and that was the bigger concern. Not sure how relevant that is though. Media and politics seem to have tainted medical practice. I’ve seen people completely ignore common sense and medical training because it conflicted with the media narrative. A few of us look around like WTF when some very educated people say some very nonsensical things. Even the whole mask debate gave mixed signals. You’ll be told you have to wear a cloth mask to even enter the building but there are signs posted in staff areas explicitly warning that these masks are not effective PPE.

This is why these test kits went back positive for papaya fruits and samples of goats!
So it is even likely, with a false-positive rate of 50-80%, that a "empty" PCR swap will test positive if the kit is not clean. This could be the reason that even after days/weeks, they went positive.
