I think it would be awesome if Donald held an online rally while he was in quarantine. The reason being is that I think if he did that the ratings would be higher than the NFL, NBA, and CNN combined.

Also, I just donated $100 to Trump’s campaign. God speed fellow pedes.

Except for one big problem--he's quarantined inside the White House, and its illegal to campaign from inside the White House.

Interesting, I did not know that but that makes sense. Can he campaign outside the White House in the yard or the garden, but on the property? Similar to the GOP convention.

Alas, no. The Hatch Act states '...on any Federal property...etc. There are minor violations of this going on all the time but again---minor. The media went screaming mad at Kellyanne making some pro-Trump statement to the press while inside the White House. Doing a full-blown political rally would be WAY over the line--it would be an actual, prosecutable crime.

The President is not covered by the Hatch Act. Same for VP.

Well, if anyone could find a way or a loop hole it’s our POTUS.

The rally wouldn't be at the White House, though. It would be on the Internet. By the interpretation you're using, the President would need to leave his home every time he gets on a campaign conference call.

Sure but he can address the nation all he wants. He’s the President.
