Indeed. With all due respect to my sisters in uniform & their contributions to and sacrifice for our nation... I think gender-integrated units were a massive mistake that benefited no one but sleazy politicians seeking to score SocJus brownie points.

I know it's no longer "politically-correct" to say this, but men & women are biologically different. FFS, even little kids understand this.

This is very different from racial integration, which was important to keep our military the best of the best. I had no problem serving in the same unit alongside men of all races & colors. We all had the same parts. Women have different biology & different bodily functions. A guy on patrol who needs to relieve himself can open his fly & water the nearest bush - a woman, not so much. Women have their monthly issues to deal with. Women bear children.

But start going co-ed & things get... weird. Men start thinking w/ our dicks instead of our heads. We get into the mindset of protecting the woman from the enemy - instead of just protecting our fellow troops as such. We start posturing like cocks in a barnyard & competing w/ each other for female attention. And then you get all the cases of both real sexual assault & false accusations thereof.

This #MeToo witch-hunt crap was hitting our military at least a decade before it hit the civvie world. I was removed form a prestigious position that I earned b/c some nosy cunt had overheard a joke I told to another person & violated the chain of command by running to tattle to the higher-ups. As a result, men in the military began to refuse to mentor women in 1-on-1, just like what happened later in the business world.

Again, I stress: I have absolutely nothing against women serving in the military. I met the woman who I would go on to marry when we were both in the service. Hell, for certain vital functions, women on average will tend to be better at those functions than men (i.e. working w/ ppl vs working w/ things). But I see absolutely no reason that isn't a vapid political stunt that we should have co-ed units. It has been nothing but a detriment for everyone in uniform. By all means, men & women can go & mingle in off-duty hours, they can have morale-building events & ceremonies & all that good shit together, but it's time to get shit done, nobody needs the politics of penises & vaginas complicating things just so some pencilneck in DC can brag over his $1K a glass champagne how "progressive" he is.

War is chaos. The military, embodying the archetype of the heroic masculine, is there to confront that chaos & form habitable order out of it. We do not need any more chaos than is already on our plates to deal with.

Oh, but there's the possibility that one day the SEALS will be cuc- er, progressive enough to have a full team of demi-gender-nonbinary undocumented queer indigenous Jewish Muslim transwymyxn of color, but that'll never happen if the language isn't inclusive b/c stronk feminista whammyxin who don't need no bicycle run home & curl up into a ball eating a gallon of ice cream while surrounded by their 37 cats if they hear a naughty word.
