Yeah I have no personal animus against him, always heard he was a decent person. Didn't he kind of reject and take himself out of Hollywood because he didn't like the people in the industry and the way it is?
IIRC his wife died, so he retired early to take care of his kids and other family.

I feel like i recall him doing an interview or maybe multiple about how he wasn't really into Hollywood and how it turned him off in general.
Being a wholesome family man for several years would make returning to Hollywood's ever worsening degeneracy a pretty big shock.
