President Trump is one of the most well known figures in the world. If he beats the virus while being in the age group that has the highest mortality rate then it will have the effect of lessening the fear that has been spread these past 7 months. And there's nothing the media can do to stop it because they'll have to report on it. It will be even better if he talks about using HCQ.

The important part isn't that he got it. It will be that he got it and then didn't die.

99.7% of people who get it don't die and the narrative is "LOOK AT THIS DEADLY VIRUS!"
They do not care! Facts do not matter!
You and I know that 99.7% of people who get it don't die; but most people don't. Most people haven't been told anything except the case numbers (which are purposefully conflated with death numbers) and that they should be afraid.
But if they are shown a person who they've been told should die, and then he doesn't die. Then it will have an effect, even if it's only a subconscious one.
