I’ll take my AR10 in .308 any day over an AK variant. I’ve shot one with very poor results. The steel case ammo I used, which I believe was “red army standard”, had horrible QC. Some rounds were significantly smaller than others and out of 40 rounds 10 wouldn’t fire. I’ll admit that it is probably not the standard but I left with a sour taste in my mouth and I’m choosing to stay true to AR variants.
It’s a great long range option. Aero Precision makes a great one known as the M5. The AR10 isn’t as standardized as the AR15 so parts compatibility can be an issue so sticking with one manufacturer is a safe bet. I recommend it man. Hell, if you’re in the San Diego area by any off chance you’re welcome to give mine a spin.
I'm in Oklahoma so hopefully I should be able to find one nearby, thanks for the offer and information though bud! And yes I need long range so this is a great option.
