This is a click bait title don’t fall for this crap. It says it in the last parahgragh of the article that it’s just closing production in Washington not moving it to South Carolina. It’s still a win but not what the title was declaring.

Boeing ALREADY makes a lot of 787’s in SC. They are saying that going forward they will be making ALL of them in SC. So you can see that it’s a distinction without a difference. WA is losing what 787 business it had. SC will be gaining whatever future 787 business there will be. “Boeing Consolidates in SC, closing WA for 787” is a paraphrase.
