I've tried asking anti Trump people this question, but I never get a clear answer.
What exactly has Trump said or done that makes it ok for anyone to wish for his death? What did Trump do to you personally that you wish his suffers and dies?
I even hear people say they are happy that the First Lady is sick also. Why is there sooo much hate for Trump and his family? It's really is sickening that President Trump's illness puts a smile on some people's faces. I don't get it, and I'm losing more faith in humanity every single day.

TDS eventually breaks down one's ability to accurately assess reality itself. I'm not being hyperbolic. I'm being serious.
A good example of this is /r/politics. Imagine these two submissions
President Trump says "We need to defeat this virus"
Speaker Pelosi ways "We need to defeat this virus"
Thread 1 is getting -10,000 downvotes INSTANTLY and if you even ask Why? then your question will go -1000 immediately.
Thread 2 is getting 40k upvoted with $500 worth of stupid reddit emote reaction things on it
These people cannot think beyond the simple gutteral, kneejerk reaction because their minds are dulled to that point. And, we have to be consistent and say that PLENTY of people on our side are the same about Obama.
Ideaological blindness is a scary thing
Academia has taught people to think with their feelings. Sad really.
Fucking reddit is currently is it's biggest circle jerk right now with all the anti Trump shit.
Here is a verified email from from Patrick Healy, National Political Correspondent, New York Times, to members of the Clinton campaign. Circulation information is available, as well.

The campaign of character assassination never stopped. Hillary Clinton and George Soros are allies.
Social media has made it easy to say mean and nasty things about people and to people without consequence. Then they shut down opposing viewpoints and you end up with a cesspool, like r/politics where they reinforce the hate to the point where it's acceptable behavior. Then the vast majority of MSM say the same things without consequence and you end up with a significant portion of the Country who trying believe we're a Country chock full of racists, KKK, Nazi's, fascists and every other ugly label.
Sometimes I switch over to CNN just to see what they’re saying, blows my mind every time. I don’t blame people for being literally insane about Trump, if I watched CNN I’d be crazy too.
People want to go back to sleep, play their video games, and pretend their lives are perfect. Trump exposed that our government isn’t what they thought. That Obama isn’t what they thought when they were cheering so loudly 12 years ago.
It’s because over time their identity has become more and more wrapped up with the idea that the orange man is bad. If they were to come out and say orange man is actually good, it would mean admitting they’ve been wrong about pretty much everything for five years. It would mean admitting that they aren’t the smart ones, they aren’t the good guys, they aren’t on the “right side of history”. It would mean they’re wrong about who’s racist, wrong about who’s sexist, wrong about who’s smart. They can’t admit Trump is great not because of anything about Trump, but because of what it would say to them about themselves.
To be fair, I saw it also from conservatives when RBG died. I think people see it as a utilitarian argument that it's ok to kill one person to save the country, but my question to them is how seriously do you believe that because you seem to revel in their suffering, and also, you didn't spend a lot of time researching the issue. Many conservatives (and liberals) don't know that RBG was friends with Scalia
I saw some comments but mostly jokes and memes on TDW amongst us pedes but I didn’t see a single Republican politician, talking head, pundit or public personality wish for her death or celebrate her death the way the Left has and nothing like the vile bullshit were seeing now. They celebrated the opening on the court and the fact that POTUS gets another SCOTUS pick but not, good I’m glad she’s dead.
I also wanted to touch on this as well. I don't think many people actively wished for her death, but I did see a lot of tasteless memes on here depicting her in hell or mocking her death. I wasn't a fan of that as well.
Conservatives weren’t happy that she was dead per se, but just that the seat was made vacant. And it was clear that the only way of getting that vacancy was for her to die. If she had stepped down people would have been just as happy.
I have a friend (who is actually the only liberal I still talk to and shockingly would fall under the category of 'reasonable' because he is able to have semi-intelligent discussions) and when I've asked why he doesn't like Trump, he gives the scripted, cult response "He is evil"... when pressed to give examples of how he is evil, he gets flustered (but we know the laundry list of emotional retorts).
There is no logic to be found in their response. They are simply programmed to hate him and cannot critically think their way out of doing so.
Its a programmed response by the media.
So many are still not aware of how much emotional programming they take in.
Tribalism magnified by an "in-group vs. out-group" mindset, amplified by echo chambers in social media. The main difference between the left and right with this is what Mr. Bongino says:
"The right believes the left are good people with bad ideas. The left believes the right are bad people with ideas."
Just my two cents.
When people hate themselves, it is easy to hate others.
I asked a friend that question in 2016. The answer was "He's too damn rich." Stunned.

Scott Adams put it really well in the first few minutes of his daily podcast yesterday. Worth watching imo
TRUMP HOLDS THE LIGHT WHICH THEY CAN NOT AND WILL NOT ACCEPT WITHIN THIER OWN HEARTS
THIS IS SPIRITUAL THEY KNOW NOT WHAT MOTIVATES THIER TROUBLED MINDS
IF GOD DOESN’T EXIST THEN ASK YOURSELF WHY DO THEY REBEL AGAINST HIM?
