Even if a group is a bit rough around the edges, and you don't agree on the way they do things, try to learn more about them. Don't just call someone a racist and take your ball and go home. The proud boys are a men's club. They promote the idea of "western" masculinity, the family unit, and absolutely detest any form of racism. Some white nationalist bozos did infiltrate their group in the past, and -as usual for the leftist MSM - the lowest common denominator became the definition of the group. They only do this with conservative movements though. Literally one of the proud boys main tenets is the complete rejection of racism, but the mainstream media paints a picture of them all being bigoted nazis. But then when all of the blm/antifa riots and burning and looting and murdering was happening, they busted out all of the "muh muh muh mostly peaceful" and "this is not representative of the movement" bullshit. If you read about what the proud boys actually stand for, and the parody/satire roots of their founding, you'd be legitimately horrified of how they came to be depicted as some hate group, and possibly be interested in joining up.
