And then the morons on the left intentionally misunderstood his quote to mean that insulin is no more important than water and reeeeeeed. These people are insane.
"Confirmed" where and how—other than a few anecdotal claims. Do you have any independently verifiable STATISTICS from a reputable source, or are you issuing another unconfirmed claim that it is "confirmed"? I've been looking for STATS that actually confirm this. Source?
I have a family member who's a Type 1 diabetic taking Fiasp.
Prices haven't changed and she posted that on Facebook after the debate.
Which insulins are you injecting, if you don't mind me asking?
Sounds like the pumps aren't commonly offered in countries with socialized medicine due to their expense and likely why favored nations pricing doesn't make a difference there.
Check out good rx app, it shows you the change in price, my husband’s went down 88%. Not quite as cheap as water, but close. It’s fun to look up random drugs on there just to see what’s going down.
Plobbit is no longer an open or honest discussion. It's the same in the coronavirus sub -- /r/Wuhan_Flu was massively pro-Trump, so Plobbit decided that since it wasn't a "flu" they had to make /r/coronavirus the official one and turn /r/Wuhan_Flu into a shitposting sub. Needless to say, the moderators in control of /r/coronavirus were 100% anti-Trump fanatics who turned the whole discussion into 100% hate Trump all the time.
That’s because reddit is all globalist shills. Hardly any Americans. Maybe 40% of traffic or something? Probably even less. Anything pro America gets removed and downvoted.
yeah I need some information maybe graphs or historical prices because If I show this to my Libtard friends, first thing they are going to do is deny it ask for evidence, show me some article that was the first result on Google bashing Trump...
I know it's really sad, we've been good friends for a long time. they've said things that made our other friends leave a discord server, one of them who is in NYPD, so you can imagine, the kind of propoganda they've fallen for to make him call it quits. thanks pede
Yea I tried telling my mom what was going on with Insulin prices dropping and everything is a TDS response or something sarcastic.
I too want something I can show but you know what? I don't see why a bunch of people would just start making up the odd comment that their insulin prices dropped.
Is it possible to post a picture of the scrip or the receipt, with personal info blocked out, so we can see the price? That's what'll convince people, anecdotal evidence with photo proof. Not to doubt you, just noting that a lot of the proof is anecdotal without a receipt to back it up or just projected prices.
It's not across the board, just some types of insulin. Other types of insulin are still crazy expensive. Read the EO , very happy for those that are benefitting but lots of others need help. One of my friends on Medicare was hoping for the reduction but he just refilled at $700 out of pocket for his monthly supply. Big Pharma will always run around the end.
Sure, anything under patent, the drug companies can still charge whatever they want. Generics that there are multiple sources for are no longer able to skirt antitrust laws to "coordinate" prices.
They have a choice to inject insulin that's been around a lot longer and is cheaper, but most taking the stuff that is that expensive have the means and good insurance coverage, which brings it down to around $400 or so a month.
The newer stuff allows a Type 1 diabetic to eat a meal and dose up to 20 minutes after eating and that's it. This is opposed to testing blood sugar before eating, taking an injection if it's too high, waiting 30 minutes to eat, and then closely monitoring blood sugar levels after the meal in case a 2nd injection is needed. The older insulins are more economical but a huge hassle if they can be avoided.
My Zika Virus has completely cured because of President Trump. He literally cured me and the entire country of the deadly O'bama Zika Virus that was ravishing South Florida and other sub-tropical parts of the nation in 2016 (right before the last Prez election). The Deadly O'bama/Glyphosate/Monsanto Zika Virus was causing children to be born with abnormally large heads and was carried by the common mosquito, and then Trump was suddenly elected. :/
But it has changed. We are no longer extracting insulin from pig and sheep carcasses. Nowadays, most insulin is genuine human insulin produced by genetically engineered yeast. There are dozens of different drugs to modify the effect of insulin, and even apparently multiple types of insulin.
See my other comment (replying to the guy you replied to) for an earfull on keto.
I read it. Glad to hear you found something That works for you, fuck being dependent on medication for the rest of your life. Keep on it dude!
I also didn’t know that about the insulation. For type 2, the solution seems to be diet and exercise. For type 1, it’s too bad we can only treat the symptoms with insulin rather than treat the pancreas itself. Maybe we’ll get there some day. Regardless, I wish you the best.
For type 1, it’s too bad we can only treat the symptoms with insulin rather than treat the pancreas itself. Maybe we’ll get there some day.
We're really, really close. They can now produce islet cells from stem cells (self-transplants derived from marrow or fat cells, of course, just like ALL of the stem cel treatments they're figuring out -- who ever would have guessed that cells harvested from aborted fetuses would cause transplant problems?!?!?). The only problem is protecting these cells from the immune system so that the patient's own body won't just destroy the new ones.
First off, the ADA's advice on diabetes is complete shit. They're one of the main causes of it being a problem. Go bring them up on /r/keto some time and you'll get an earful about those scumbags. The ADA's advice is to keep doubling dosages and chowing down on more sugary foods until you go blind, your feet rot off, and your kidneys fail and you die -- it's a "progressive" disease that inevitably leads to your death, don'cha know -- but definitely don't ever consider just restricting sugar intake and thus at least reducing dependence on insulin, or for type 2's perhaps even not needing insulin or any medical treatment for diabetes at all any longer.
Second off, they're not a pharmaceutical manufacturer and becoming one is not something that happens without major investment. And if you have to make that kind of investment just to get started, you're going to need to make back that money somehow. And then there are all the different variations on insulin -- long-acting, short-acting, who knows what all else, I never had to learn those details fortunately.
I got diagnosed as a type 2 three and a half years ago. I was told that I would be dependent on insulin for life, had to beg to try just doing pills (another medication I was on made me bleed profusely whenever I got blood drawn, so daily injections were not something I wanted to try doing), the quack reluctantly said I could try it, and I was handed a diet plan telling me to eat TWELVE SERVINGS of carbohydrates per day or else the drugs would definitely cause me to go into a hypoglycemic coma (yes, LOW blood sugar) and die.
I read this stupid garbage, said "What the FUCK?!" and took just one of the drugs (metformin) and stopped eating ANY avoidable carbohydrates -- can't get away from them completely, even eggs have 0.6g of carbs per egg, but otherwise a strict keto diet. Five months later I didn't need the metformin. Seven months later I went to the quack again for a followup and was told my A1C was 5.7. Last year I went to a different doc who didn't believe me when I told him I'd been diagnosed as a diabetic, said my A1C was 5.3, and I had "no sign of diabetes". This was despite my having started to cheat like a bastard, constantly. I really should stop before I fall off the diabetes cliff again. . . .
Anyway, for type 2's, keto WORKS. If you catch it early enough, it can even reverse things sufficiently that you can lead a normal life. If you start keto after years of diabetes, you probably won't be able to reverse it, but at least you can reduce your dependence on medication and won't have to deal with the ADA's "progressive disease" bullshit.
Remember Biden talking about how he would lower drug prices whilst President Trump is actually fucking doing what he's promising to do for really reals if you vote for him.
Trump doesn't tell you to vote for him again because he is going to do something. He's telling you that all the shit he's doing for you will end if you don't.
So fricken pissed right now. Ever since Trump said insulin was like water, I have been injecting myself with Evian to control my diabetes. I get up this morning and my glucose is over 700!
Biden says he's going to drop the prices of prescription drugs. He's also going to force the federal government to buy American products. Also wants bring manufacturing back. I feel like I've heard this before but am having a hard time figuring out where...
I love how "Thanks, Obama" was a sarcastic meme that eventually by the end even the left was saying, but every time I see someone thank Trump, it's a sincere heartfelt thanks for something he really helped them with in their lives. MAGA
I've read similar before. Any pede can confirm this?
Both.
Where are the investigational reporters on this stuff
Probably missing out on their big checks from pharma corps
He seems clueless enough, but then somehow he knows when to lie.
Snopes: Mostly False
Trump said insulin is water. False.
Prices of Insulin are cheaper than water.
And then the morons on the left intentionally misunderstood his quote to mean that insulin is no more important than water and reeeeeeed. These people are insane.
sad really...
it;s think kind of thing that actually means more to more people than most of the crap the talking heads bobble on about...
NOOOOOOOO BUT TRUMP IS PUTTING OUR TRANNERINOS IN REEDUCATION CAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!! WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE TRANNERINOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saving 5,000 - 8,000 a year for at least 8 million people is huge.
Perhaps this will be a redpill for some.
"Confirmed" where and how—other than a few anecdotal claims. Do you have any independently verifiable STATISTICS from a reputable source, or are you issuing another unconfirmed claim that it is "confirmed"? I've been looking for STATS that actually confirm this. Source?
Type 1 diabetic. Can confirm.
Went from over 1k a month (2 different insulins) to $160 for both.
I'm staying on injections for the time being, pump supplies are still outrageous, but at least it's affordable for me to live now.
Well maybe but probably knot.
Is the price of insulin lower for everyone, or just certain groups of people?
I have a family member who's a Type 1 diabetic taking Fiasp.
Prices haven't changed and she posted that on Facebook after the debate.

No one on r/diabetics has reported this, they say prices haven't dropped. They do all have TDS though.
That sub is HORRID. There have been a couple posts and comments saying it but they get downvoted into oblivion.
It used to be a decent source for info and support, but they can find a way to bash Trump no matter what anyone says. It's pathetic.
Plobbit is no longer an open or honest discussion. I picked up my prescription yesterday. Usually $45 for 90 day supply, it was $14.50!!
Yea I tried telling my mom what was going on with Insulin prices dropping and everything is a TDS response or something sarcastic.
I too want something I can show but you know what? I don't see why a bunch of people would just start making up the odd comment that their insulin prices dropped.
My gf is t1, it went from expensive to almost free.
Who ever would have thought that reducing government regulation could possibly lower prices. . . .
Are people really spending $700/month out of pocket on insulin? That's just not right, morally I mean.
They have a choice to inject insulin that's been around a lot longer and is cheaper, but most taking the stuff that is that expensive have the means and good insurance coverage, which brings it down to around $400 or so a month.

I had no idea...do you happen to know how that new stuff works? How's that possible?

Zap!
wat
You'd think this would redpill a bunch of hamplanets on the left, but they still think insulin is too expensive...
Trump doing a poor job of getting that message out.
I thought his EO takes place at the beginning of next year.
I think the "most favored nations" language takes effect next year.
Considering that diabetes treatment hasn’t changed in the last 50 years tells you something.
But it has changed. We are no longer extracting insulin from pig and sheep carcasses. Nowadays, most insulin is genuine human insulin produced by genetically engineered yeast. There are dozens of different drugs to modify the effect of insulin, and even apparently multiple types of insulin.

Wait... almost like it’s cheaper than water? 🤔
Def cheaper than cable.
Major news that needs to be a sticky! Promises made promises kept.
Not diabetic, just asthmatic. But Can confirm...advair was $300 it's now $92
No insurance either
*gasp*!

Does anybody know how this effects inhalers for asthma? It's fucking expensive.
What's the point of being rich if you can't lord it over the poorfags?
Can anyone post a redacted receipt?
So fricken pissed right now. Ever since Trump said insulin was like water, I have been injecting myself with Evian to control my diabetes. I get up this morning and my glucose is over 700!
But Biden said Trump has no proof of drug price drops
Cool price drop, Don!
is the daughter on medicare.
It isn't a medicare thing.
when i searched it I only found medicare listed.
They all mocked Trump for saying that he made insulin as cheap as water.
Trump needs a commercial highlighting these facts!!!
Imagine actually making tangible improvements to the country which the people can see for themselves to win political support. What a crazy idea.
HIGHLY EFFECTIVE STABLE GENIUS
Fake news hates and won’t report this
Biden says he's going to drop the prices of prescription drugs. He's also going to force the federal government to buy American products. Also wants bring manufacturing back. I feel like I've heard this before but am having a hard time figuring out where...
Hey, that actually is cheaper than my water bill.

Muh Obama Care!
Drumph is Hitler
Life is Racist
The look of disgust on Joe's face when Trump stated this during the debate said it all.
One of my prescriptions dropped from $160 a month to a $10 co-pay. Amazing.
