Nah flu is not Corona and the reason people get it every year is because it has several strains that all mutate. Corona doesn't mutate that much and doesn't have strains that are super different. Lifetime immunity is possible with what we know as of now, but it depends on the mutations. It could also be something that lasts a year or so.
Personally I'd rather get it now and be able to enjoy the holidays than not.
I kinda hope that I get the Covid now. I'll take a couple of days of discomfort for a lifetime of viral immunity!
