I have a chronic illness that has put me in the hospital over 100 times. Ive been in hospitals all over Europe as well as the USA. In Europe yes the care was cheaper. But they also gave me no anesthesia for an endoscopy. It is bar none the mozt horrific thing I have ever experienced. They brought up the term Exploratoey Surgery and I yanked out my IV and booked it out when nobody was looking. I may owe a shit load of medical debt here but at least they out you under for procedures.
I've had a couple endoscopies and to even imagine not going under for it sounds absolutely terrifying. I was fighting the nurses holding me down on my last one because they didnt use enough.
