I was always more of a single-player kind of guy for the most part.
Do you still game? I typically only play popular games. Next game on my list is Cyberpunk 2077. Gonna get real comfy with that game after POTUS wins and the leftists lose their minds once again.
I don't play all that much anymore, and when I do, usually it's just to revisit my old games from years ago.
Ghost of Tsushima is excellent. Well worth your time. Also Dark Souls/Bloodborne. I pre ordered Mortal Shell for a physical copy, haven't played it but it looks fun.
Souls series is my tops of all time. So damn good, the lore especially.

Larian studios is working on it and I freaking love divinity as well. Its gonna be good.
I got back into cRPGs recently. Finishing Tyranny and I picked up Pathfinder Kingmaker. Divinity OS 2 was really good also. Though I worry that BG3 has too much hype for it...I have no idea how it can follow the foots steps of 2. But Larian is damn good.
If you're into cRPG's.. you should pick up Wasteland 3.
It is a bit left leaning, but there is a sequence in the game that's phenomenal.

Anything from that studio (like Witcher 3) is the tits
then why should NPCs matter? just play the game and ignore the community.
That is what I do. (Except I don't play games so much anymore, maybe once in a while, mainly because I have other things to do.)
Note that by "gaming communities" I mean the forums and boards and the like. The games themselves aren't on those places. Not the ones I played and discussed, anyway.
