Completely true. I was born in communist Romania, my father was jailed in Popa Sapca (Popes Hat Prison) for helping people flee communist Ro where he was beaten and tortured for 14 months potentially facing 7 years and never broke. We came to the US in 86 and I can still remember my family gathering around a tv in '89 watching the revolution, teary eyed. For my family and many Romanians of that time, America is and will always be "the promised land flowing with milk and honey" from the Bible. We value the freedoms in America because they cost us a lot, and you don't value what doesn't cost you. God bless the USA, God protect us from the evil communists, God help create more avenues for people to get involved.

“What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.”

― Thomas Paine, The American Crisis

We love our based immigrants! Anyone that thinks our freedom is free needs to look over Arlington National cemetery.
