It's like they intentionally obscure that so people will just read the platitudes on their website and mailer materials and vote based on that. I want to know their platform of beliefs, and what they plan to do if elected to council. I don't want a liberal who is going to kowtow to the school board, the teachers' unions and fuck over development and taxes in town.

yeah but they do have personal beliefs. it would be helpful to know what party they align themselves with personally so I can get an idea what way they're likely going to make decisions. if they're liberal they're likely to prioritize open space, green crap and social justice, and raise taxes

I am a member of the local county Republican Commitee. We made a “Golden ticket” that listed the local pro Trump candidates, even the non politically affiliated candidates. I thought all active Repub committees did this.

Not in Phoenix, that I've noticed. I just do a search for each one and rule out anyone without any known stance.

Look at who endorsed them, that is usually very telling of what their political leanings are.
