I have no doubt that if the Federal Government runs our healthcare, the first thing they're going to do is enact standards to penalize everyone who works and to give extras to everyone that doesn't. We'll have constant fights over who is getting what and which demographic should be allowed more hospital visits and check ups. Furthermore, like all national healthcare systems, doctors will be underpaid and overworked and drowned in bureaucratic BS so most of them will quit and the smart, ambitous people who would have become doctors, will become lawyers or engineers instead. Furthermore, nurses will end up being universally praised as the greatest thing ever like teachers are, as the standards become degraded and the nurses become nastier and more cruel. They'll never be disciplined or punished either. It'll end up being a million dollar fight to fire a nurse, just like it's a million dollar fight to fire a teacher in public schools but it will be much harder and more expensive to fire a nurse, so no crap nurses will ever be fired.
