Ok. My story is that I had a kid with a husband who turned into a big alcoholic and eventually a drug addict. We separated when my son was six or seven. My husband did not support us in any way. Could not afford to divorce him. We were separated for years. I worked and supported us both and by the time I could have divorced him, he had cancer and even though he lived in another state, it didn't feel right. He passed when our son was 15, he's 33 now. I hate how it turned out. But please, do not marginalize all women as being horrible greedy mothers. That is not fair. Yes, many women are, but many men are just as irresponsible.
