As a man I'm not against the idea of child support. If a guy is dumb enough to stick it in a woman before marriage, knowing full well it can result in a pregnancy, he should be equally responsible for raising the kid, at a minimum financially. He is the father, after all.

I think where the issue lies is that the woman is in full control about what happens to the pregnancy, i.e. if it results in birth or abortion. The male should have a say. If they can't agree on the decision, it should go to court for a judge to decide based on things like the potential parents' income and the ability to love and care for a child. The problem with this though, is that courts work slow, and time is of the essence in a decision like this. You would need a whole new court and set of judges just handling this.
