You don't have to close the CIA and FBI - just pull the clearances of everybody who was an Obama or Clinton appointee and have them re-adjudicated - for real this time... have them powerless until the completion of the process... which could be some time in 2025...
I agree. I would go one step further and eliminate the DHS as well as the Patriot Act. The DIA and NSA can handle the domestic security information with the US Marshals as the enforcement arm.

The problem is that commies would oversee the process.
Gut them. Plow the earth with salt. Let the DIA And NSA handle foreign intel, state foreign relations, and DHS domestic security.

Do not think either are needed, with the creation of the NSA and military intelligence. Distribute their duties between the two.
