water only fasting is not too difficult if you start with intermittent fasting, which will help you realize that your body actually likes to fast and appreciates it. once you're used to skipping 1-6 meals, then go for something longer than 3 days. use bone broth as a crutch to overcome headache... on day 4, if you don't feel great, break the fast. Most people will feel great on day 4, then go as long as you feel great. I've done 18, and broke it only because Thanksgiving. My first fat happened to be the 8 day one. A couple days after I went for a jog, and went 10 MILES, whereas my whole life I could not run a mile because of the lung damage. I ran so much in those weeks following my fast that I damaged my feet and then had to use crutches for 4 weeks. So be careful!
Same. We don’t need breakfast. I do 21/22 hour fast everyday. I hate eating during the day. Biggest scam ever was convincing ppl they needed multiple meals per day, especially w our diets being such shit and high sugar. I love working out fasted. Could never go back to “normal” eating habits.
So what about the generally accepted opinion that you need to consume some protein within a certain window after lifting weights to build muscle, repair and recover, etc. Is that true? Because I generally stop eating around 8pm and I eat after I lift around 11am but on days I don’t lift I easily can go until 5 without eating. I feel like not eating after lifting until 6 hours later wouldn’t work in my favor?
You're not going head first into something without reading about it before hand for days, I hope. Does not matter what, diet, special exercise, special foods/vitamins. Read both sides first.
My lung damage from a childhood flu was was healed 30 years later from an 8 day water fast

David Goggins?
My life is remarkably improved since practicing intermittent fasting daily and working out fasted.

Try it for a day. Then two. Then three. Very easy, and safe if short term. One day fasts are a good way to reset after a huge bingey family meal.
That's amazing. How do you survive with no water for that long?
sorry, meant to say "water only fast"!
Well that's a pretty fucking important word to omit 🤤
Why don't you go edit that comment
it's actually called a "water fast." Also like "juice fast" means fasting except for juice.
no biggie, but just FYI
