President Trump was given remdesivir because it is an anti-viral that can shorten recovery time. Right now, he wants to get back to work ASAP if not sooner.
However, HCQ tends to interfere with remdesivir and so those two drugs should not be given at the same time. You have to pick one. So, POTUS is getting remdesivir and not HCQ.
If I get sick with the 'rona, I definitely want HCQ + zinc + Zpak since that's affordable and safe. My job can be put on hold for a couple of weeks, if need be, but POTUS's job cannot.
