I did not vote for Trump in 2016. I've always voted Republican, even had the misfortune of having to vote Romney in 2012. In 2016 I thought Trump would never get the nomination, I voted for Cruz in my state's primary. I was devastated when Trump won the nomination. My issue with him was that he was a reality TV star and would make a mockery of our highest office. I was torn, I would never vote for a Democrat but for the first time in my life, I considered it. If Hillary wasn't such a crooked bitch, I might have done it. I knew Trump would win my state, so I ended up writing in Cruz for the election. I couldn't bring myself to vote for who I thought was a joke at the time. Even though I have always been a Republican and have voted in every election since 2008, my red-pill moment was the Kavanaugh confirmation. That's when I first saw what the democratic party was about, they're an evil organization that will do anything for power. It disgusted me... what they put that man through. Ever since, I have followed politics in much greater detail. I realized what Trump was about, he's not a joke, he's the greatest President we've ever had and I mean that with great sincerity. Pedes, I have realized my mistake in 2016. I will not make that mistake in 2020. I will crawl through broken glass to cast my vote for Trump, I've told everyone who will listen to vote for Trump. Trump will win. Just wanted to get this off my chest. Trump2020

Welcome!

Don't feel bad. I voted for Pierre Delecto (Romney) in 2012 as well. Lets keep that as our little secret.

I know Trump's bombastic attitude does turn many people off. Many of them like yourself once they see the ACTUAL record of what he has done end up changing their mind.

Yes, the Kavenaugh Hearing and booming economy of last year red pilled many people.

Again, welcome to the party!

I remember Mittens being rolled by "Candy Crowley" during the debate as she interceded to defend Obama. Unlike Trump, Romney just stood there and took it from the moderator. To make matters worse, right after the debate she apologized for being wrong, but how many viewers saw that? It turns out that play acting "Mr Nice guy" doesn't do wonders for your campaign. Very low energy.

This!

Don't assume we have it in the bag, keep registering! The dems WILL cheat!

We need to make sure that we are getting more conservatives to register to vote and Dems who are leaving their party, do not overlook them a lot of blue dogs are not happy with their party anymore:

I've seen some and im always highly suspicious because they all sound exactly like democrats that are lying to people they don't know that they are a "republican" and "hate trump" as a potential way of sounding relatable 🙄

I'm sure there's probably a handful of weirdos out there that flipped from right to left but they aren't very bright even if they're telling the truth about what they believe 😂

What people here need to realise is that people like me, we have entirely left leaning families and the repills go different speeds. Some people listen, some don't listen at all. For me its been years of slight repills just to get my family to identify as independents yet 99% of what they believe is still liberal brainwashing. So every person is unique. Dont forget even Jesus said the churches would turn satanic basically. Dont ever trust someone just because they say they're a trump supporter, or an independent. Hell there's literally democrats for trump. Im even still a registered dem. Its all about what you believe in exactly between what is right and wrong more than it is the label you give yourself. Theyre people who are going to tell you theyre democrats but they might be against abortion and against illegal common sense gun control at the same time other democrats will be out there basically chanting "death to whites" although using more subtle words like "i thought you cared about black people?" Or "accept your privilege"

Its all one big cluster fuck and for this reason, people like trump. He's been consistent for decades just like the consitution has been consistent for hundreds of years now. Bless

I like it. I was a Democrat a while ago but that's because the Republicans were more neocons and I was not for getting into needless wars. That was the main reason I voted for Obama in 2008 as I thought he'd at least end the Bush wars, but nope he was even worse in that regard, which I didn't think possible. Then for 8 years I was disaffected and a Libertarian voter - including 2016. Not this time, if the Republicans become more like Trump I'll remain otherwise I'll become a Libertarian again.

dozens? i think it's closer to tens of thousands, if not a couple hundred thousand. i was on the trump train from the beginning but i wasn't a republican until the judge kav hearings. that was the ultimate "can't possibly be a fence sitter in any way" moment.

the real lesson of your post is that we can't afford to be the stereotypical "principled conservatives" of old. there is going to be no quarter from the dems/radical left. so why nitpick on a stance on policy x or vague character question b?

politics is about winning and the dems know that inherently. you have a chance to vote for a winner for the first time on nov 3rd.

I'm included. My parents convince me hillary was the lesser of teo evils when I barely turned old enough to vote back in 2016.

Boy these lefties are in for such a surprise. I bet even if they try to cheat there will be so many ballots they'll have to fake, and so many they'll have to throw away just to get closer to appearing as a 50/50 toss up, they might even cry and give up because it'll be the hardest they've ever worked before in their lives

I wasn't a never Trumper, and have voted for both Dems and Republicans. Even though I hated Hillary, I thought Trump was a joke and didn't vote for him.

I live in a red state, but ill be more than happy to add to his popular vote total this year.

last part is my favorite. I used to watch all those late-night shows too. Once I woke up to just the level of brainwashing I couldn't ever bare to turn on that horsetrash garbage all that stuff is.

I'm still on board with specifically kicking Trevor Noah out of the country at the very least. That dude literally was allowed to come to this country specifically to work at a job telling us what we should and shouldn't be allowed to do. All he wants is to turn us into the same shithole he left.

The Elon musk guy I have hopes for but I also think he spends too much time in California and so he probably thinks we're all a bunch of idiots because it doesn't make sense just how much he cozies up to the chinese communist party. I dont care about whether or not china has electric cars because theyre all poor compared to us and itll only he the authoritarian ruling class that gets fancy cars in China. What I want is for china and India both to stop throwing their trash into the ocean that supplies most of our oxygen. This is what landfills are for. Pick a couple spots away from all the people that you bury your trash at so it doesn't get into the ocean, and decomposes deep under the soil for the next millenia. This is literally basic hygiene. If your country can't even keep the trash out of the oceans, you shouldn't be coming to America to tell us what to do.

Nothing pisses me off more than the silicon valley traitors who spent money educating their kids for jobs they literally just hand to Trevor Noah and some guy from India over hard working Americans. How about give all of our best jobs to Americans first you stupid braindead fools. Silicon valley is mad trump is building a wall so theyre carrying on with the great replacement through vast amounts of worker visas. H1bs, h2bs. In fact, I would argue that even speeds up the problem because now they not only come here looking for a job that doesn't belong to them, but now theyre expecting a job to be handed to them. Not only that, but our cream of the crop jobs. Computer programming was one of the best jobs available until Google decided to hate america and love china and india over their own neighbors. That shit pissed me off more than water bottles in the oceans because it doesn't matter if the ocean dies if were all living under Islamic slavery for the rest of our lives and our children's lives

I knew Trump was the right person when I saw all his enemies reveal themselves after he announced. The bushes, clintons, media, republican establishment all trashed Trump. He had all the right enemies, and I can't wait to see him F them again. I didn't vote in 2016 because I thought Trump had it in the bag against crooked. I am voting in 2020 so I can personally say F you to Bushes, Clintons, Media, and Republican Establishment for 4 years of slander and for the nasty Kavanaugh take down attempt.

Libertarian here. I voted for Trump in 2016 because the alternative was not much worse than voting for satan. After four years, I've come to respect and admire Trump and now I'm voting for him because accomplished so much and is a force for good.

As I tell people all the time, do you want someone that talks well but does bad things, or someone that doesn't always speak how you might like but, accomplishes great things?

Voted Gary Johnson, and voted for Cruz in the primaries. You made the better choice! I'm stoked to vote Trump in 2020 and I'm sure there are many more who did not vote for him the first time who will the second time around!

It took Trump for me to see how truly evil the establishment, swamp GOP is. The Democrats lie about not being communists...the Republicans lie about not being liberals.

Burn them both down and elect Trump clones. No other option.

I was on board the Trump train from day one. Enthusiastically. Sure, I watched him. But I paid attention to two things -

  1. What he said. What was his message? I loved it. Making America great again? Sign me up! I've always been independent-minded, and Trump was like Reagan, Ron Paul, and Ross Perot rolled into one.

  2. Most importantly... who his enemies were (are). Swamp. Deep state. Career politicians. Democrats. The media. Corporations.

I was sold.

Glad to have you onboard now, though, brother.

I was a vehement NeverTrumper. I voted for W. Bush twice, and McCain and Romney, that's how much of a loyal Republican I was! I voted for Cruz in the primary and was horrified that Trump was the nominee. I voted third party in the general, voting for the Constitutional Party. When Trump was elected, however, I immediately decided that I was going to give him a chance. By Inauguration Day, I realized that Trump was the real deal, and I grew to love him very soon after and have been supporting him every since. I can't wait fo vote for Donald Trump next month!

2
slaphappy2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good for you. But there are many more reasons to support the Donald besides the fact that the Democrats are flaming asswipes.

He has better positions than they do on every single policy issue. You would do well to familiarize yourself with them.

2
ColdBrewCovfefe 2 points ago +2 / -0

That was the thing, he wasn't just a reality TV star. There are interviews with him going back to the early 80s talking about our trade deals, and even a really good one on Oprah in the 80s. Nixon even wrote him about an interview he saw with him on Phil Donahue, (maybe that's on youtube also). Him being a reality TV star shouldn't be a blemish on his career. His role was taking in consideration of other peoples opinions before making his decision. That if anything shows he doesn't mask a rash decision based on emotion.

welcome aboard, :)

ps. I also voted romney :( thinking we need a business man in office..correct in that choice, but wrong person.

Awesome to hear man. I was listening to an Andrew Breitbart speech back from 2011. He was talking about his ideal candidate being someone who would just punch the Democrats media propaganda machine and cultural marxism in the face, nd keep punching it. Boy, he would have loved President Trump.

Thank God in addition to that we've got a constitutional, peace-loving shrewd businessman. The sickness of the left threatens to burn the country to the ashes, nd the swamp would sell us to China. Vote patriots, we can win!

1
SemperFidelis231 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don't worry brother, I was the same. I thought Trump would be just another big-talking do-nothing celebrity president, who only ran for his own ego.

What won me over is right after the inauguration, when he sat down and fulfilled every campaign promise he could with his executive powers, then got right into fighting with Congress to get the rest fulfilled.

Same here. I liked most all Trump's policies, I just didn't believe he actually wanted to do any of it. I thought he was a NY lib LARPing as a conservative, taking the boldest possible positions on issues to pander. Remember he was glowing over Obama back in 2008, endorsed Mittens in '12, and said "I probably identify more as Democrat, the economy does better under the Democrats" in 2004, donated to Chuck Schumer and Hillary. I figured that his plan was to run back to being a lib as soon as he won, or if he lost, claim that he was running ironically to expose how stupid Republicans were to get back in with the NYC/Hollywood crowd. Thankfully, I was completely wrong. I was not wrong in opposing Rex Tillerson, Rience Priebus, Jeff Sessions, or Gen Kelly.

The Kavanaugh confirmation hearings are a skid mark on the underwear of our political history. It was shameful what the SWAMP put him and his family through. Although, I suppose it is no less shameful than the entire impeachment hearings and carnival our country has had to endure for nearly 4 years.

I supported Trump from the moment he and Melania rode down the escalator together. At the time, I told myself and others at least Trump is smart enough to figure out how to get our economy going. However, I didn't believe there were enough others that believed like me for him to get elected. That all changed once I found TD sub reddit at the time.

My red-pill moment about the Republicans Party was when John McCain went running through the halls of Congress delivering the Steele Dossier to the Senate floor. To think this man was nominated just a few short years ago to run for President by the very same party of now duly elected President Trump. Then, Romney votes to impeach our president? It became clearest to me when Cindy McCain, referring to Jeffrey Epstein said "we all knew what he was doing."

Now it is no shock to me to learn that former President Bush, Jeb Bush, Cindy McCain, Romney, and (Kasich, too)... etc. are all supporting Biden? WTF?! It was then that I realized the SWAMP had infiltrated both parties (left and right). Republican and Democrat have no meaning anymore... it is now globalism vs USA 1st.

It makes me wonder what Epstein and/or globalists have on each of these traitors.

Great respect to you for your story and journey! He was indeed something of a gamble in 2016, but now as a proven middle finger to the broken establishment, including limp Republicans, he has the credibility needed to bring even more support to him this election from both never-Trumpers and never-voteds. I never voted until 2018 but I have been of age since the early 2000’s, and it is exclusively because of President Trump and what he’s proven himself to be that I finally decided to register and vote.

I’m glad I never got into pop culture much during the reality TV era. I notice most never Trump people seem to have been influenced by the “image” thing tied to entertainment. For me, Trump was sort of a celebrity name I had heard of, but no more than other business people of the era. I had never watched WWE so that had no impact either,

I learned about him as a politician through his books and the actual 2016 campaign. It would be nice if we got to know every politician first through their ideas. T.V. has ruined politics. We had idiot suburban females swooning over Beto looking like a Kennedy or whatever (they dig large slightly bucked front teeth I guess?) We are lucky Trump mastered our country’s weird celebrity and royal fetish and used it for good.
