Beretta ARX-100 for those that want to know.

I lucked out and picked it up when Academy had a sale for $800.

Real quick review of you're still reading. Completely ambidextrous, even ejection, so pretty rad if you are wrong handed. Does not take 3rd Gen PMAGs if you got a stockpile of those, keep your AR. Controls are a little stiff. This one gets about 3 MOA with M855 so accuracy is nothing to write home about. Stock does have a short length of pull, but you can make it work. Beretta sells a 12" barrel, pricy at $800, so for $1000 you can do the SBR thing.

Was thinking that.

I'd pay 800 for one. Weren't they pretty expensive when they came out several years ago?

Yeah they were about $1800 street when they came out.

I have a theory involving Beretta moving to a different state and their product lines not being continually produced, but in a rotation.

Basically if I had to guess Beretta unloaded their entire inventory on a couple distributors so they wouldn't have to pay to ship their inventory to the new factory.

3 moa isn't bad. Most military rifles are about that. When clapping bipedal varmints minute of man is perfectly adequate for social work.

I'd like one just for collecting purposes. By time I ever get around to one maybe they'll be even less.

This is a really cool gun. Great for a car-gun, in that the stock is foldable (and can still be shot while folded!) BTW--if you remove the stock entirely, does it become an AR pistol which can take an SBR without a stamp?

Not a lawyer and yes our gun laws are confusing and arbitrary.

A rifle is always a rifle. Unless... It starts off as a pistol, then as long as it remains in a legal configuration you can convert between the two at will.

This is what I remembered from 2006ish, so maybe BATFE changed their interpretation once AR pistols became popular.

no -- this sounds familiar to me too. Thanks for the refresher.

I'm actually impressed Beretta can sell their 92 series for the price they have.

It's a pretty innovative company and the quality is better than a lot of people might expect.

Sweet and unique rifle fren. Did they ever import the .308 versions in to the states?

It doesn't seem like the US will get the .308, but I'm holding up hope for a 7.62x39 conversion kit.
