Honestly, stick with those and save your money for now. If you can find 9mm, buy a few more boxes. Don't put yourself at financial risk just to purchase a firearm / ammo / accessories. Once you get better and are on a stable ground financially, then start looking.
Then really, your bases are covered. Rifles and shotguns and cool gear come later. Maybe find a good holster for your pistol and a good belt for your pants. Most importantly, good luck job hunting and hang in there!
If I had a 10/22 I would really like the rifle. It's accurate enough for self-defense or taking a squirrel down from a tree for dinner. And it doesn't cost a lot to shoot, so you can practice more to increase your accuracy.
If you're good on ammo, maybe buy a few more magazines. That 10-round magazine goes fast but a few fit in the pocket easily.
I've got a classic 10/22 like yours. Bolt work, firing pin work, trigger work, unassuming bolt release, buffer, and a shortened chamber. I like to shoot it, and it likes standard velocity loads. It still won't shoot like my 70yr old Mossberg bolt, but it's close. Stay with Ruger mags and clean them often.
