The good news for shotguns is that birdshot is pretty much always available and not too expensive, so at least you can get something for training (and sport, birding, etc).

Have you tried to buy buckshot in the last 6 months? Cause to me it’s all gone, bought, bye bye. When there is any it cost 4x normal prices.
You can get birdshot. Slugs are running $2 per round. No buck anywhere.
