I've got a classic 10/22 like yours. Bolt work, firing pin work, trigger work, unassuming bolt release, buffer, and a shortened chamber. I like to shoot it, and it likes standard velocity loads. It still won't shoot like my 70yr old Mossberg bolt, but it's close. Stay with Ruger mags and clean them often.
I probably go a couple hundred rounds, but if i depended on it, I would go less. You'll know when it needs to be cleaned. You'll start getting malfunctions. Easy to clean once you figure out how to disassemble. Those blow back bolts aren't kind to mags, and some ammo is cleaner than others.
